While on safari to the Maasai Mara you will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha safaris offers sighting of flamingoes, rhinos, the rare Rothschild giraffe, zebras, buffalo and impala among other plains game and bird species.
Day 1 : Begin Safari from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National park
Pick up from your hotel at 0730 hrs and drive via the scenic Great Rift Valley, A brief stop at the view point to get a view /take photos of the Great Rift Valley.
The Great Rift Valley as originally described extends from Lebanon in the north to Mozambique in the south, and constitutes one of two distinct physiographic provinces of the East African mountains physiographic division. We arrive to the Pink Lake often referred so due to it’s Great masses of Flamingos in good time for lunch. Lunch at a lodge followed by full afternoon game drives. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge or Flamingo Hill camp.
Day 2 : Depart Lake Nakuru with wildlife Viewing en-route and drive to Maasai Mara
We break the camp/depart the lodge soon after breakfast and proceed to Maasai Mara to arrive in good time for Lunch. Late afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight at a safari camp or Lodge in Maasai Mara Reserve.
Day 3 : Full Day of safari game drive viewing the abundant wildlife of the Masai Mara
Full day spent exploring the Maasai Mara in search of the big 5- Optional early morning balloon safari or a tour of the Maasai Village can be arranged at an extra cost.
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures.
Day 4 : Leave Maasai Mara and drive through the Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha
Leave Masai Mara after breakfast and drive through the reserve with wildlife viewing en-route and views of the Great Rift Valley to arrive at Lake Naivasha in good time for lunch at a safari camp or Lodge in Lake Naivasha. Afternoon at relaxation or visit Hells gate National Reserve, the only reserve in Kenya where you can enjoy game viewing while on a Bicycle. Return to your Lake Naivasha Safari camp or Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5. Last day of your safari depart Lake Naivasha for Nairobi
Early Morning breakfast at your Lake Naivasha Safari Camp or Lodge then check out and drive to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch in your Nairobi hotel.
